Heat, heat and even more heat

Hi everyone
I have notice that all those in the northern hemisphere have had enough of the cold, snowy, wild conditions.  I do sympathise really, but......

A little coolness down here would be absolutely divine .......  last night the temp. did not get below 30C/ over 85F!!!!!!

Very uncomfortable sleeping weather - actually non-sleeping weather.  Yes, I do have air-con, but I am never comfortable sleeping with it on.  Tried for a little while, but I so craved my fresh air - even if it was hot and sticky

A photo from left-field, out of nowhere, nothing relevant to anything (hope you get my meaning).

While out shopping for Xmas gifts, I was in a teashop and spotted this

Could not help but bring them home with me.  Haven't used it yet, as I am just enjoying looking at them.  But they will be in use soon, instead of my old beaten teapot

I need to take photos of my two latest projects.  One is finished and the other has only the about half the edging to go.

I am also glad to say that my squares made it over to England for Mrs Twins "Sunshine Blankets".  So pop on over and see how the blankets are coming together so nicely and say Hi to Sue

Bye for now

  3. Yep, I'm sick of the heat too. Just hope some of that cold weather hangs on for us when we go to France. I'm looking forward to being cool.

We're freezing, snowing now 4.00pm in the afternoon, and it's coming down.
I just love that teapot! What a beautiful set Maria. Have you been over to Bella Crochet talking of tea sets? Such a pretty crocheted set she has there.
Thank you for the plug! Try and keep comfortable Maria. I'll be thinking of you tonight with my electric blanket on!!

  6. Boy, that's hot! Yes, it has been rather cold and snowy here, but we have snowdrops appearing in the garden showing that Spring must be on its way. I love your pretty little teapot set; very sweet! Ros

  8. Hi Maria,
Very pretty teapot and cups! Love the colors. Regarding your question on Walt Disney World and Cinderella's Fairy Castle - "what is in it", not enough I would say. There is a very pretty wall-tiled passage way through it and at the other end there is a shop for little girls called "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique" where they can have their hair styled, make up applied and have pretty princess dresses to wear and there is a restaurant called "Cinderella's Royal Table" where the Disney characters (princesses) will go around to meet and greet the children while they dine. The little girls will have the beauty treatment and then go to the restaurant to meet the princesses. I've heard that it is hard to get a reservation at "Cinderella's Royal Table" it is so popular with the little girls. Also up in the castle there is a suite of rooms that guests can "win" a stay there. I wish there was a ballroom that adult could go to too with characters dancing and such. Actually the castle isn't a big as it appears - so maybe that is why there isn't much room on the inside for more.
