Vintage Baby Pattern

Hi everyone

Here is the my latest finished baby outfit
I did adapt it, as it was turning out way to big for my needs - NB-3mths
But I love, love, love the way it turned out

Yarn - Bendigo Woollen Mills Wool/Cotton 4ply (found in the back room) - wish this was available in their online store :-(
Details can be found here

And this is the original pattern
Much larger, lace is on the yoke too

Btw - the pattern is top-down :-)

Have a wonderful weekend :-)

Aussie Maria Pattern - Boronia

Hi everyone
Although it has been a very long time since my last cardigan pattern was released, I have about a zillion half started / half worked out patterns sitting on my computer which just need finishing touches and final reworks

A friend enquired if a new one was on the horizon and I thought ....... just do it ....... get one finished.
So I relooked at all of them and .......

I totally reworked one and changed it (read simplify here) :-)

So here is Boronia on Ravelry or Boronia on Etsy

This is the Newborn, long sleeve version using Bendigo Woollen Mills 4ply Luxury

And this is the 6 month, short sleeve version using Bendigo Woollen Mills Stellar in the beautiful colour, Tanzanite (pity its no longer available)
Love, love, love this!!!!

One written pattern, but using different weights of yarn and different size needles to create the sizing.

A photo of the 3 month, 5 ply version to follow

Just in time for this months Knit4Charity's donations - Women's Life Centre (NSW) who are after clothing for newborns to 6 months.

Baby Girl or Boy?

Hi
A new grandchild will be born in September.
But what its sex is no-one knows - except Mummy & Daddy
So I'm hedging my bets and knitting for both

A Girl Set - made from Bendigo Luxury 4ply
A beautiful new, free pattern from a Taswegian :-)

A Boy Set

And since I have plenty of time and a "little" of this wool in my stash ;-)
I listed them in my Madeit shop, Made For Little Ones (link in sidebar)

Have a great weekend

Yummy yarn

Quick post to share a project I made with a new yarn in Australia

Cleckheaton Superfine Australian Merino Wool - patterns & colours here

It is divine to work with and so soft.
Sadly it is definitely a luxury.
But sometimes we have to do these things to support our local farmers ;-)

Cardi is, of course, Aussie Swing (available on Ravelry and Etsy) and Booties are Acqua e menta - my project link

I just popped this set into my little shop - Made For Little Ones

Have a great weekend :-)

Wonga

Hi everyone
Sorry, its been so very long between posts, but grandchildren are time consuming and so entertaining.
And I have three now :-)

Just popped in to share a new pattern from me
With my eldest granddaughter modelled and selfie :-)

This pattern reminded me of a vine growing with little flowers.
So I named it after an Australian plant - Wonga Wonga Vine

It is available in my Ravelry Store (see sidebar link) and my Etsy Store too (also on sidebar)

Hope you are all enjoying your children and grandchildren as much as I am :-)

Made For Little Ones

Hi everyone
Or anyone who may still be reading  :-)

I know, very long time with no blog posts

My reasons (excuses if you prefer) are -

  • Charity knitting for Knit 4 Charites
  • Gorgeous grandchildren, who are total time-wasters (Love It)  :-)
  • orders for my little online shop "Made For Little Ones"
  • everyday life   :-(

Now, my little shop has another online presence - Facebook.
Look for "Made For Little Ones" or click on the link.
So, if your on Facebook, pop on over and have a little look.
Maybe even "Like" my page and enter the competition giveaway

I'm getting ready for summer with some delicious home-made all-natural ice creams & gelato's.  Having a lot of fun experimenting.

Here is my first test - Strawberry & Nut Gelato  - mmmmmm
Sorry, no photo, my computer is not co-operating
You'll have to take my word that is WAS absolutely delicious
