Colours

Thank you to everyone for the info on the colours, especially to Caz, who had the full explanation.
I had very, very, very vague memories of an art class way back when as she described it :-)
That triggered some old memories :-)

And it would seem that the majority of the comments sided with hubby about the colour.
General census is gray

But I am adamant it is brownish in tinge
☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

Have a wonderful weekend

  2. Happy to help, Maria. :-) I teach year 4 this year and we just did an art unit on colour... my class now know this stuff, too (at least, I hope they do! LOL).

We also explored "tints" and "shades" - a "tint" is a base colour (or "hue") with white added, and a "shade" is a base colour with a tiny, tiny bit of black added.

And if you add a tiny bit of grey, the colours become more subdued; these are sometimes called "greyed" shades, or "neutral" shades because the grey takes that "omph" out of the original colour (which can be nice, depending on the mood/feeling you want to create!).

Okay, I think I've run out of colour knowledge now! Hope you found that interesting! :-P

    Caz :)

  3. I see it as both! When you say gray, I see gray. When you say tan, I see tan. Power of suggestion?
