It's the simple things sometimes ...

... that can bring about happiness and contentment

For me ....
  • A drop in temperature of 15C and most importantly about the same drop in humidity
  • Months and months and months (could even be years) of searching patterns and I think I may have just found what I am looking for
  • And just as importantly long-stored yarn in stash which is exactly what I need for this project
  • To once again have a hook in hand and not have the yarn stick E-V-E-R-Y single stitch
I have worked one pattern repeat and so far - I AM IN LOVE
Already planning another!

And that all came together over one day

  1. Maria, Im hearing you about the sticky needles - dont you just hate that feeling on humid days, and you just want to crochet, but it just becomes impossible.

Congratulations on finding your long awaited pattern.. What is it for.

  2. Lots of knitting now Maria :)). Well done ..

  3. Maria, I don't know how you even attempt to crochet in "sticky heat"! I take my hat off to you!! x

  4. Glad to hear you're feeling a little cooler........perfect pattern, perfect stash yarn, it's wonderful when a plan comes together.

  5. Oh I do know that sticky needle feeling. My count down starts at the beginning of Summer. Ony about a month to go now to the bearable weather - Yay!!
Try a shake of talc on your hands. I find it helps a lot.

  6. That is one VERY good day! Would love a day like that! Can't wait to see/hear more about this pattern... is it for a shawl? My mum asked me to make her one and I'm still searching for a pattern that would be "just right".

    Enjoy your good fortune!
    Caz :)

  7. It does sound like everything is working in your favour at the moment.
i love that feeling. I'm not quite ready for it to cool down just yet though.
Can't wait to see the perfect pattern.
And I love the little cardi from the last post. Very cute.
    have a lovely evening.

  8. Great when it's all coming together like that! Looking forward to your project pictures.

  9. It's a good day when everything comes together....hope this trends continues and you enjoy a great weekend spent with yarn, cool drinks, and good company
