Well it turns out his name is ………

Blinky Bill
Blinky Bill !!!!
And for those who have no idea of what I am talking about

BTW – does he look scary without a mouth???
I have trouble stitching it – it looked very scary when I put one in

I think you can get away without the mouth. IN fact, didnt notice it didnt have one, till you mentioned it.

Blinky Bill, that brings back memories. Even for me, the Scot.

Hello Maria,
Thanks for the research you have done on the WWI soldier. I had come to the conclusion that his name might be Powell as you did but this soldier seems a bit old? Dorothy would have been a young girl in 1916- perhaps her early 20s.
Very interesting though.

Yes, he is Blinky Bill isn't he! So cute! And I think he looks fine without a mouth too. Soft toys never have to be realistic anyway.
